Botanical Lino Printing with Lucy Rodgers

Create images of flowers and seedheads using Lino printing techniques.

I am a printmaker who specializes in creating images of flowers and seed heads taken from my garden and surrounding fields of the Somerset Levels.  I work in my garden studio using lino and Japanese papers to create relief prints using a Victorian nipping press or by hand burnishing.

The workshop will involve designing an image which depending on confidence can be drawn directly onto the lino or transferred from paper. You will learn different cutting techniques and understand the principles of working in relief using line and textures to create shape and form.

No previous experience is necessary but come with ideas and images to explore this beautiful medium.
